The Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing, The Danish Chamber of Commerce in China and Danes Worldwide are pleased to invite you to a meeting for Danes living abroad which will take place on

Thursday April 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

The meeting is open for all Danes and spouses, family members, or others with an affiliation to Denmark. The meeting offers a unique opportunity to get an update on new rules and issues, which affect most Danes residing in China. Among other topics on the agenda are the following:

 

• Newly proposed rules regarding family reunification.

• New rules regarding public pensions and unemployment benefits.

• Maintaining citizenship for Danish children born abroad.

• Danish language education.

 

The meeting will take place in English in order for everybody to be able to join. There will be served a light dinner buffet.

 

PROGRAM OF THE MEETING

•6.00 PM Light dinner buffet will be served, networking

•7.00 PM Welcome speech by Mr. Jakob Linulf, Minister Counsellor, Head of Trade Council – China, The Danish Embassy in Beijing.

•7.15 PM Mr. Thomas Møller Andersen informs about the activities of the Chamber of Commerce.

•7.35 PM Ms. Anne Marie Dalgaard, Secretary General of Danes Worldwide, will inform about the Organization in general, focusing in particular on political issues and advocacy. Danes Worldwide´s Danish language programs will also be presented.

•8.15 PM Open discussion, questions and networking.

•9.00 PM End of meeting
