The Danish Young Professionals are pleased to invite you to our next event Wednesday, May 2nd where Philip Khokhar, Asia Correspondent for Danish TV & Radio, will present what it is like to be a foreign journalist in China and work under the increasing scrutiny of the authorities.

What challenges do journalists meet when reporting from Asia and more specifically China? Is there anything that you are not allowed to report on in China as a Foreign Correspondent? How do you explain what is happening in China to the regular TV-watcher in Denmark? And how do you get a straight answer from a Chinese politician?

On Wednesday, May 2nd, Denmark’s Asia Correspondent, Philip Khokhar will answer these questions and many more, as he joins us for an evening on being a Foreign Correspondent, when he shares his experiences, challenges and outlook on China’s future.

In 2014, Philip Khokhar became Asia Correspondent for Danish TV & Radio reporting from Beijing. He is currently the only journalist from Denmark based in China. He has been working as a journalist for Danish TV & Radio more than 10 years, during which he has covered South-East Asia as well as being based in Afghanistan as a Foreign Correspondent for one year.

The event will take place at Joe’s Bar & Restaurant in Sanlitun, who has kindly offered happy hour until 22 and discounts on selected items on the menu throughout the evening.
