DCCC and Nordic Chambers: Challenges and Investment Opportunities for Nordic Companies Along The Belt and Road
Seminar

(CHANGE OF SPEAKER: Due to an urgent matter, Cyril Leung will not be able to attend this event. Instead, Gu Xue, Manager of Business Development at China Communications Construction Company will speak at the session. Mats Harborn, President of the European Chamber of Commerce in China will also be joining the panel session.)

The DCCC together with the other Nordic Chambers are very happy to invite you to an evening session with Xavier Sans Powell, Director of Government Affairs at The EU SME Centre and Gu Xue, Manager of Business Development at China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), to talk about the Belt & Road Initiative, with a specific focus on European and Nordic investment opportunities under BRI.

On the basis of a soon-to-be published report on investment opportunities for European businesses under BRI, the EU SME Center will present their findings through a vast reach of concrete cases, to shed light on some of the challenges faced by European companies, as well as new rising opportunities and challenges, as BRI has entered its fifth year since its unveiling in 2013.

CCCC is a Chinese state owned enterprise, which is itself engaged in several BRI projects around the world. CCCC has been looking for opportunities for infrastructure projects in Europe and Gu Xue will present experiences of CCCC in this endeavor.

We are also honoured to have Mats Harborn participating in the panel session. Mats Harborn will discuss Nordic and European implications for the BRI and how the BRI has been received in Europe so far.
